TCU is closed, and the School of Music’s Feb. 9 free concert is “sold out”

0

This is one of those "the hits just keep coming" items:

Thanks to the (thus far totally bogus prediction of) inclement weather, Texas Christian University has announced that they are closed today (Jan. 27), and advises folks to check back in the a.m. to see if the closure (due do imaginary weather conditions) continues into the Wednesday time frame.

Furthermore, the School of Music's free concert, set for Monday, Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m. in Bass Performance Hall, is - um - a sellout, in the sense that all the (free) seats are accounted for and thus no one who doesn't already have theirs nailed down may attend.

In case you want to castigate yourself for failing to secure your (free) ticket, here's a rundown of the concert program:

Germán Gutiérrez will conduct The Fort Worth-TCU Symphonic Choir and TCU Symphony Orchestra in Carl Orff’s legendary Carmina Burana. Soprano Ava Pine, baritone David Grogan and tenor Jay Smith, TCU music alumni, will be featured.

For more information about how you will no longer be able to attend this event, contact Kristen Queen at 817-257-6349.
