“These are challenging economic times,” said Dave Hennekes, vice president, residential markets, TXU Energy. “Our new lower prices can help someone shopping for a new plan save real money.”

The January price for TXU Energy’s MarketEdge plan, which closely tracks natural gas prices, ranges from 11.1 to 11.9 cents per kilowatt-hour of electricity depending on where a customer lives. This is down about 45 percent since natural gas prices spiked to all time highs last summer.

In 2007, TXU Energy lowered prices 15 percent for most of its existing residential customers. In November 2008, the company lowered prices as much as 10 percent for more than 300,000 existing customers on other month-to-month residential plans.

Is "creameated" when you fold in the Philly cream cheese with the hamburger and Rotels to make the chip dip?
