Frisco CVB receives SportsEvents Magazine readers’ choice award

When it came to SportsEvents readers selecting the perfect facilities and destinations to hold sporting events, the Frisco CVB was tapped for the first time ever for exceeding the high demands of sports event organizers and for the physical attributes of the many sporting venues in the city. The city’s reputation for hospitality, hosting sporting events and its outstanding venues like Pizza Hut Park, the Dr Pepper StarCenter, and the Dr Pepper Ballpark has played a large part in helping to develop local tourism. The addition of the Fieldhouse at Sports Village USA will only add to that momentum.

Frisco has also become an elite training ground for world-class, champion athletes with instructional facilities headed by former Olympic medalists like Kurt Thomas and the World Olympic Gymnastics Academy (WOGA) owned and operated by Valerie and Anna Liukin, parents of the 2008 Olympic All-Around Gymnastics Champion Nastia Liukin.
