Nana at Dallas’ Hilton Anatole Hotel hires Russell Burkett as new wine steward

Russell has worked for some of Dallas' finest restaurants including Steel Restaurant and Lounge, Al Biernat's, and Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.

DALLAS — Nana, the five-star restaurant perched on the 27th floor of the Hilton Anatole Hotel, has hired Russell Burkett as its new Wine Steward.

Russell will be responsible for more than 600 selections of wine from the restaurant's immaculate wine collection. He will also provide continuous wine education and programs for both the wait staff and patrons, and most importantly, recommend choice wines to be paired with Executive Chef Anthony Bombaci's exquisite creations.

Russell comes to Nana after working in the Dallas area restaurant business for more than 10 years. Russell has worked for some of Dallas' finest restaurants including Steel Restaurant and Lounge, Al Biernat's, and Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. Most recently, he worked at The Four Seasons Resort and Club at the Café on the Green. During his time at The Café on the Green, Russell applied for and was accepted to the prestigious internship program at Ramey Wine Cellars in Healdsburg, California. This experience allowed him to work closely with David Ramey, one of California's most important winemakers in the harvest production, for the 2008 vintage. Russell has had a passion for wine for many years and plans to achieve Level II certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers in 2009.
