Carbon monoxide sickens 14 residents of North Dallas house
Apparently, the home's three other residents weren't affected by the space heater thought to be responsible. (Maybe they had their window open?)
Firefighters think a space heater is to blame for the carbon monoxide poisonings of 14 of the 17 residents of a home near Royal Lane and Webbs Chapel early Friday morning (Jan. 30).
All the affected individuals (ranging in age from newborn to adult) were conscious and were being transported to a hospital for observation.
No word on how the three remaining residents escaped the effects of the gas.

JW: 13 of them were children.
Which doesn't really boggle the mind any less...
This is the second carbon monoxide related story that I've read. I actually went out and bought a detector the other day. If my life isn't threatened by carbon monoxide at least once, I'm going to be pissed. :(

I am coming to get you Pavel.
There is no no escape.
Your petty $35 detector may be your only hope, but you have to sleep sometime.

jtm, believe that follows the classic "Takes one to know one".
CO, I have at least a little bit of faith that Pavel has secured his living quarters reasonably well. If he hasn't, guess he had it comin'.

Oh, we are familiar with Mr. Lishin's "safehouse" lifestyle.
But now we know, never send the elements to do a compound's job.
