The Living Opera to present Face to Face: Great Operatic Confrontations
The Living Opera of Richardson announces a concert of operatic selections entitled Face to Face: Great Operatic Confrontations. The concert will star acclaimed special guest artists, baritone Weston Hurt (Seattle Opera, New York City Opera, Dallas Opera), soprano Jeanine Thames (Atlanta Opera, Berlin Staatsoper, Fort Worth Opera), and The Living Opera's stars of previous seasons. Repertoire will include selections from Leoncavallo's Pagliacci, Isaac's The Legend of the Yellow Rose of Texas, Gilbert and Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance, Rodgers and Hammerstein's Carousel, Act II of Verdi's La Traviata, and Aaron Copland's The Tender Land.
The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 17 at Zion Lutheran Church in Dallas. Admission is $20 if purchased in advance on the company's website at www.thelivingopera.org, or $25 if purchased at the door. Groups of 10 or more may purchase tickets on the company's website for a discounted price of $15 per ticket. 2009 season ticket subscribers may attend for free by emailing info@thelivingopera.org before July 17.
