Employees evacuated Wednesday night amid ammonia leak at Best Brands in Dallas
The leak stopped on its own around midnight, probably freezing shut.
Best Brands uses ammonia to cool and freeze food products for shipment around the country. 70 employees in the location at the 10700 block of Miller Road were evacuated Wednesday night after an ammonia leak was detected. Unable to find the leak, officials said it stopped on its own around midnight, probably freezing shut. As of Thursday morning, employees have returned to work.
