New Deep Ellum moped shop helping drivers stay green
As rising fuel prices have eroded disposable income, many of us became aware of just how dependent we are on foreign fuel. This is leading many people to look for alternative, less expensive, modes of transportation. So, where can you find these kinds of solutions? At Blitz - Electric Mopeds & Scooters.
Through a brand new Deep Ellum storefront, Blitz sells its own line of imported, DOT-approved, all-electric e-cycles and; scooters, an “in these times this makes sense” venture hatched by an Irving-raised, tech-savvy entrepreneur and a Corpus-raised ex-Navy man with 20 years of big-corp beer sales experience (so he knows about conspicuous consumption).
Blitz is a new company which sells cutting edge, high tech, electric motorcycles mopeds and bikes. Blitz recently introduced these new electric motorcycles as part of its plan to bring clean, earth-friendly, affordable, personal transportation to those who love to be different in Dallas.
The e-motorcycle is run on fast-charging, lightweight, high-powered lithium-ion batteries and has a 5,000 watt brushless motor built into the hub. The batteries have a useful life of 7 to 10 years and with proper care can be re-charged over 2000 times. Additionally, the e-motorcycle uses its braking power to help recharge its batteries.
You can drive over 12,000 miles for about $150. That kind of efficiency was unavailable prior to the introduction of the Blitz units. It’s the perfect vehicle for a college student, single driver or commuter scooting around our urban neighborhoods. For many drivers, the savings in gas alone will pay for the unit in a year or less.
These new electric motorcycles reach speeds of 60 mph and have a range of about 85 miles on a single charge, allowing this new zero-emissions motorcycle to outperform traditional gas-powered ones. Available today and they doesn’t cost an arm and a leg ... inexpensive, very efficient and with zero emissions.
Cool. Clean. Green.

Rising fuel prices, my butt! Oil & gas prices are lower now than they were in '06 and they're damned sure a lot lower than they were last summer. Wendi, please come up with a better opening line for your story, because the facts don't support your premise.
