When John Richards of Burleson returned to his pickup truck where it was parked outside a North Fort Worth Mexican food joint, he discovered that it (the truck) had been broken into, and that the thief had taken his son Dakotah's souped-up shotgun (a $15,000 Perazzi MX8).
Without the fancy-dancy firearm, Dakotah says he might as well pack it in in terms of competition (he's an Olympic-level competitor in the sport of -- um -- bunker trap shooting). And his father is offering a $1,000 reward for the return of the shotgun -- perhaps in an attempt to appeal to both the thief's better nature and his short-term junk food needs.

I hope this story was not done to blame the dad for the shotguns disappearing. Or that you were taking a slam for the event this young man was participating in.
I would rather support this kid then the nasty trash that plays football, baseball, hocky and basketball at a professional level.
