Continued funding for Plano’s African American Museum being questioned
Some people, including a former chairman of the Plano Heritage Commission, are questioning why the city of Plano is continuing to fund its African American Museum since the museum is open only on special occasions and seems to be spending only a fraction of the money they are given. The last quarterly spending report filed by the museum showed that it had spent $7,393 of the $119,848.50 it had been given so far this fiscal year. It doesn't appear that much is being spent on the museum's website, either.
