Afterimage Gallery in Dallas to host new Kenn Thorpe exhibit
Kenn Thorpe has produced a strong body of work photographing sites of sacred and political power in diverse locations.
Afterimage Gallery in Dallas will present a new exhibition from Kenn Thorpe, Church and State: Images of the Holy Land, Remnants of Roman Empires, The European Union / The United Nations, July 11 to September 9, 2009. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, July 11 from 7 to 10 p.m.
Kenn Thorpe has produced a strong body of work photographing sites of sacred and political power in diverse locations. In addition to large digital prints on paper, the show will also feature two prints made on copper.
Thorpe (born in 1953) grew up in Dallas and has been a photographer for some 35 years. He is well known to the area professional photographic community, having founded Pinnacle Studios and Procamera Company in the mid-1980s. Besides pursuing photography, since 2002 he has been writing screenplays concerning Judeo/Christian subject matter.
