TxDOT demolishing DART Transit Rail Track Slab across from Fair Park in Dallas
The Texas Department of Transportation is allowing lanes on Parry Avenue and Robert B. Cullum Avenue (SH 352) to be closed during an operation to demolish the DART Transit Rail Track Slab, located at southbound SH 352 adjacent to Fair Park.
Tonight at 7 p.m., work will begin in the left lane of southbound SH 352 at the track crossing. The contractor, Archer Western-Brunson Carcon, will be moving from left to the right along the tracks. Work will continue until 5 a.m. when lanes will be re-opened to the traveling public.
This work will continue during these same hours nightly through July 15 except Friday, July 10 and Saturday, July 11. Working hours between 7p.m. and 5 a.m. will continue on Sunday, July 12 through Wednesday, July 15.
Southbound Parry Avenue will be closed at First Avenue due to work on the south bound left lane of SH 352. Traffic will be detoured to the west on First Avenue to Ash Lane. Detoured traffic will continue on Ash Lane to Second Avenue. From there, detoured traffic will head southeast on Second Avenue and transition via two lanes (center and right) into southbound SH 352.
The contractor will have the left inside lane closed on southbound SH 352 and two lanes of traffic will remain open on southbound SH 352 at all times.
All closures are weather permitting and have been advertised by dynamic message board since June 26. Detour signage will be in place to guide motorists along the detour route.
