Dallas police no longer staked out at George W. Bush’s house
Faced with an annual $300,000 cost and looming layoffs due to budget concerns, the Dallas Police Department has cut the detail stationed near George W. Bush's Preston Hollow home. The department had previously stopped sending officers with the president when had made local official appearances. They will, however, still offer up officers if requested by the Secret Service.

When reached for comment, confidantes of former President Bush allegedly overheard him say: "When I learned that Michael Jackson was dead, I told my security team we should send some of our gun-toting team to protect little Paris Hilton, Prince Michael something and little Blankie from the mother who gave them away, Debby Reynolds."
