Dallas-based hotels.com founders launch spinoff, getaroom.com
DALLAS After waiting out a five-year non-compete clause, the founders of Dallas-based hotels.com have resurfaced. Bob Diener and David Litman's new gig is getaroom.com, a name that we particularly like. The getaroom headquarters is in Dallas, and the Dallas Business Journal reports that they have 30 full-time employees, 20 part-time workers, and about 50 call-center employees. They project revenue of $45 million for the first year.

getaroom.com, shows us that the dot.com business is still alive and kicking in this economy. Domain names are the key to future growth and success, and they will continue to be. I like this story.
