The Phuss -- Thursday, July 9 at The Boiler Room
This Fort Worth duo rocks hard. As it states on their MySpace page, "In the vein of The White Stripes and Black Keys," The Phuss "add in a unique Texas perspective to their raging tales of old west-influenced woe." They'll be rocking The Boiler Room this Thursday, July 9 along with The Better Death and Falcon Scott.
Deer Tick -- Friday, July 10 at Hailey's
From Providence, Rhode Island, Deer Tick is making quite a name for themselves as they play packed festivals and appear in major news publications. Their smash hit "Dirty Dishes" has gotten a lot of downloads on iTunes, and Rolling Stone gave their newest album, Born on Flag Day, 3 1/2 stars. Deer Tick sat down with NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams for the first ever "BriTunes" segment. Watch it here:

Nelo -- Friday, July 10 at The Boiler Room
From Austin, Nelo is comprised of Austinites Matt Ragland, Reid Umstattd and former Dentonites Stephen Goodson, Mike St. Clair, and Chris Hill. They are making their way to the Boiler Room this Friday in support of their new EP Two Years Ago. Along with Willie Nelson's nephew Freddy Fletcher as producer, the group has carved out a great EP equipped with horn arrangements and excellent singing in the vein of Dave Matthews by Reid Umstattd. Check them out this Friday, July 10 along with Andrew Tinker And The Goodnights, Moosehound, and Soulever Lift.
