Who is the retard who wrote this story, anyway? Russ was not at (nor ever associated with) KLIF (570 a.m. in case you care). The convicted woman-beating loser was at KLLI, in the name of accuracy of course.......

Easy FloydTheBarber,....Russ Martin is a great person who entertained many people, the ratings don't lie, he was #1 for a long time. And he is human too, just like the writer T.G. for the Pegasus News and his tiny mistake.

Hey FloyedtheRetard - the simple fact that you know so much about Russ and are so passionate about his life makes me think YOU are the only retard here.

Floyd I beleive that KLIF was the Parent station, not that he worked on it but they paid the bills. And didnt your mother tell you not to call someone a retard??

I have mixed feelings on the whole thing. If he did lay a hand on her, his huevos should be in a jar and he should be in PMITA jail. If however it was all blown out of proportion and he didnt in fact lay a hand on her, she should be sharing a cell with Dirks ex.

I don't really care either way, but...

and have no harmful contact with the woman.

What a fantastic order.

"Yeah, I can fondle her...but not harm her. It's a good life."

Let me clear something up real quick: KLLI(now KRLD-FM) is owned by CBS Radio, not Cumulus, who owns KLIF, KPLX, KDBN and KTCK. Simple mistake that happens on occasion ;)

Here's my edited thoughts, as I posted them on another site:

Here's the deal, RMS is now considered damaged goods, like P&K, due to his rumored instability and general bad attitude on/off air. He may, for the time being, podcast for free and eat the hosting costs due to his non-compete. Once that drops and the CBS money(rumored to be around 35-40k a check) stops coming in, its going to be a whole different ballgame. Major radio groups in and outside this market (top 20) aren't going to touch the guy with a 100' cattle prod unless he takes a MASSIVE pay cut(under 200k/yr) and agrees to some serious stipulations(i.e. anger management counseling, no switching off the mic, keeping his drinking buddies/legal counsel/medical staff off-air, ect.) similar to what Greg Williams had in place at ESPN 103.3 after his post-ticket fall from grace. Else wise, if RMS does come back on radio in this market, it'll be on a low wattage AM talker probably buying his own time and selling ads to cover costs.

The Russ Martin Show will be syndicated in the central US markets and some states in the southeast. Maybe on-air by this Fall.
