Tarrant County Courthouse slated for restoration

Originally built in the early 1890s, the Tarrant County Courthouse is an imposing and architecturally fascinating facade -- but the housing for its clock tower is (literally) falling apart.

Thus, despite difficult budgetary realities, plans have been announced for a $2 million restoration of the historic structure, to include a new copper roof, with construction set to begin later in 2009.
