Babe’s is a big hit in Cedar Hill
It’s been one month since well-known restaurant Babe’s Chicken Dinner House opened in Cedar Hill, and the owner said they have played to rave reviews.
"We have been welcomed with open arms by the folks in Cedar Hill and surrounding communities. It looks like Cedar Hill may be our highest volume restaurant!" owner Paul Vinyard said.
Babe’s Chicken Dinner House occupies the former city hall. The building was left vacant when city offices moved into Cedar Hill’s new Government Center. Don’t you just know somebody probably slipped their water bill in Babe’s mailbox out of force of habit? Seriously though, turning a large, vacant city building into a profitable restaurant in the current economic climate is a pretty astounding trick.
Vinyard owns ten restaurants in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including Bubba’s Cooks Country in University Park, Sweetie Pie’s Ribeyes in Decatur, and Babe’s restaurants in Burleson, Carrollton, Frisco, Garland, Granbury, Roanoke, and Sanger, in addition to Cedar Hill.
"We are excited to have Babe’s open in Cedar Hill. It’s delicious food in a fun setting, so we knew that it would be a crowd pleaser, and it definitely has been!" said Cedar Hill Economic Development Corporation Director Allison J. H. Thompson.
