Chris Kidd, says:
Brett was a class act gen. reporter at NBC5. He handled his beats well and knew how to work with his subjects. My prayers go out to him and his family

Shocker, you never know when your time is going to come! He just did a story a few months ago on low lake levels at my lakehouse, he was nice, professional and fun while he was there. He will be missed, especially on Thanksgiving week, when he would always show the viewers how to best deep-fry a turkey.

I heard about this on my way in this morning. It really is sad. The world needs more class act reporters and he was definately one of the good guys. RIP
