McKinney woman provides key evidence in mortgage fraud case
Jocelyn Sapp, a resident of the Stonebridge Ranch development in McKinney, was suspicious about a series of vacant homes in her neighborhood. Sapp searched property records, and found that all of the vacant homes had sold for much more than their appraised value. Sapp gave her findings to authorities. Three years later -- voila! A man named John Barry has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for mortgage fraud.
