Cities in Dallas-Fort Worth area rank on list of top relocation places
A book called Next Stop, Reloville: Life Inside America's New Rootless Professional Class lists quite a few cities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area among "America's Top 25 Relovilles."
Specifically: Flower Mound, Frisco, McKinney, Carrollton, Allen, and Plano -- making North Texas the top Reloville region. Author Peter Kilborn says that "Relos" are good for real estate businesses and relocation companies but not so good for houses with character, because people who relocate a lot choose manicured subdivisions with look-alike houses that they can sell to Relos like themselves.
(This is the same list that Forbes passed off as "best places to move" or whatever chipper re-do it was that they did.)
