Where to find $1 drinks in Dallas
Few things are more enjoyable than sipping a glass of wine amidst the cozy ambiance of a wine bar or knocking back a couple martinis at an upscale restaurant, but hey, times are tough. Why drink a $10 martini when you can down 10 beers for the same price?
The following Dallas bars offer $1 drink specials, and if they’re bold enough to do so, consider it your invitation to put your drinking prowess on display. Just remember to tip generously and apologize profusely when you’re carried out by the bouncers. (Editor's note: Several bars have multiple locations, including outside of Dallas. Check each location to verify the deals.)

Maybe in the most sarcastic tone possible.
Big July Alley fan, btw - great spot to hit before a Deep Ellum show...didn't even know about the $1 beer ordeal, guess I always got a mixed drink during those times.

Definitely a must to line up a DD on Wed at Pearl if you plan on indulging in the $2 margaritas, sooooooo tasty. As always, looking forward to this Wed.
iirc Pearl has pretty decent drink specials most nights i.e. bailout beer (wanna say Tuesdays). Wednesdays take the cake, thought, b/c Yost and the Sofakings rock out!

Yes, but didn't the last listing here on Peg say that Rick and the Sofa Kings were playing on Thursday night?

Travis - this week they are playing both Weds and Thurs - Weds is their normal slot, and Thurs is a moving-away party for a friend who specifically requested the sofakings - because they're sofaking good! Also the invisible butterflies are telling me that this Weds might be something of a "going away" party for Brett H. as well, he is apparently leaving us for a gig in San Francisco....

Explains a lot of Yost's paranoia, imo.

Yeah, she sees them as butterflies. I see them as the little razor-sharp-clawed, winged demons that they are...and they haunt my every limp. They fly all around my head- scratching and clawing. I can't get away from them.
The only time they leave me alone is while I play music on Wednesdays. I don't know if it's the Margaritas or their taste in music. Whatever works.
Doyle- What paranoia?

No, it looks like you are correct Alex. In fact, I was surprised to find that Pabst Blue Ribbon has this whole cult following of people who drink it because it's old school and/or because they want to stick it to the (major breweries) man. Some even claim that it's a tasty, prize winning lager. Who knew?
The last time I saw a Pabst Blue Ribbon was in my brothers beer can pyramid many lifetimes ago.
