Various lanes and ramps of I-20 in southwest Dallas to close over summer
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is allowing lanes and ramps along I-20 to be closed at night for full-depth pavement repair.
Beginning at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, the I-20 eastbound ramp to I-35E southbound will be closed until 6 a.m. Thursday morning, July 23. The same closure will take place as well from 9 p.m. Thursday night until 6 a.m. Friday morning, July 24.
All closures are weather permitting. Detour signage will be in place to guide motorists to Houston School Road, back to I-20 westbound then to I-35E southbound.
This work is part of an $18 million "bundle bid contract" for routine maintenance in western Dallas County over the next two years.
TxDOT is striving to minimize disruptions for central Dallas citizens while also working to improve safety, reduce congestion and improve air quality. For more lane closure information, go here.
