Eating and drinking events in Dallas-Fort Worth July 22-29
See all Food and Wine events
This week, events run the gamut from cake to nuts. It'd be nice if that said, "soup to nuts," since that's the common idiomatic expression. But there are no soup classes, there's nothing soupy out there at all this week in terms of food-and-dining events. So you make do. You bend the idiom to fit your needs. Thus, "cake to nuts." Here's the week's top picks:
Thursday
Austinuts is this great, quirky new band, see? OK, not it's not. It's the Austin nut company. Austin + nuts = Austinuts. Anyway, they're giving away snacks to celebrate their store in Snider Plaza. If free nuts make you wild, head that way.
Friday
Asian Street Food Cooking Class
Considered to be high art, street food is the most explosively flavorful fare in all of Asia. After taking this class, you’ll be able to reproduce these uniquely delicious salads, skewers, noodles, and dumplings in your own home.
Saturday
America (With a French Accent) Cooking Class
Four-course lunch with wine pairing includes Lobster Corny Dogs & Kobe Beef Burgers with Foie Gras.
Sunday
Chef’s Wine Table Series: Great Red Burgundies
Top quality PREMIER CRU and GRAND CRU Burgundy with Wine Director Mark Luft.
Dense moist pound cake, giant creamy cupcakes, devilishly rich chocolate cake, ruby red velvet cake, and unbelievable upside-down cake.
