Live music events in Dallas-Fort Worth July 23-26
This weekend offers so many great local options, deciding on just one could be hazardous to your health.

Thursday
Rescheduled from June 13, David Allan Coe will play the House of Blues. Opening for him is much talked about band around town, The O's.
Friday
They've been described as the Coldplay of country music (any coincidence that Coldplay just played last night) by another local musician. The Eli Young Band is definitely a local product to be proud of. You can catch them after the last race at Lone Star Park on Friday night.
Not only does Dave Koz play a mean (well, smooth and jazzy) saxophone, but he's really easy on the eyes. In fact he's hot. In fact, it's quite the workout on your eyes to pull them off him. So enjoy him at the House of Blues.
Saturday
A slew of great local shows mark Saturday night around town. Reverend Horton Heat will play the House of Blues. The Rev is expected to release a new CD, Laughin' and Cryin' with the Reverend Horton Heat, on September 1. Perhaps he'll preview some of the new tracks in this show.
Also on the local brewed tap are Deathray Davies at the Sons of Hermann Hall; Happy Bullets at Barley House; Dove Hunter at Lola's; Grain at the Ridglea Theatre; Johnny Lloyd Rollins opening for Ian Moore at the Granada; and Creede Williams' CD release at Rock House Film Studio.

Then, of course, there's Tool. Looks like tickets are sold out, but an eBay or Craigslist sweep might yield something.
Sunday
Perhaps today you should take a rest. But if not, maybe go do some screaming with all the kiddos at Dreamworld Music Complex.

Nobody should need much of an excuse to head down to Lee Harvey's.
