Angela Hunt left out — again — when Mayor Tom Leppert appoints new committee chairs
DALLAS Mayor Tom Leppert recently appointed new two new committee chairs, but council member Angela Hunt again wasn't picked. We brought the story to you in 2007 when Hunt was not asked to chair one of the standing committees, and the story's the same this year.
Hunt is a vocal opponent of the convention center hotel and the Trinity River toll road, which may have had something to do with it.
She still holds her spot as chair of the State Legislative Ad Hoc Committee on Judicial Appointments committee. She tells the DMN, "If he thinks that best serves the people of Dallas to exclude me from a chairmanship or a vice chairmanship of one of the standing committees, that's his decision."
