A.H. Belo, publisher of Dallas Morning News, reports second-quarter loss of $7.1 million
DALLAS Dallas Morning News publisher A.H. Belo Corp. reported a $7.1 million loss in its second quarter between April and June, which they attributed to a drop in advertising, an increase in circulation revenue, and a pay-down of its debt.
As noted by Wick, shares of Belo stock have been rising and rising -- 88% between July 6 and July 24, which Belo attributes to the momentum created by other newspaper companies such as Gannett and The New York Times.
