Connemara Conservancy to host guided bird walk
The Connemara Conservancy will host a guided bird walk with expert Rodney Thomas at the Connemara Meadow Preserve on August 2 beginning at 8 a.m.
The 72-acre Meadow Preserve is located on the border of Allen and Plano, just off Alma Drive. The walk is part of Connemara’s series of summer nature events.
Participants are advised to bring binoculars and field guides. Thomas, who is with the Prairie and Timbers Audubon Society, will explain how to identify habits, characteristics and calls of as many as 30+ species. All ages are welcome.
Registration, directions, parking information as well as a list of upcoming events is available at www.connemaraconservancy.org.
