0

This week, you get two opportunities to rub shoulders with Tito Beveridge of Austin-based Tito's Texas Handmade Vodka. But if you're seeking out the most stellar star power, you'll head to Fort Worth on Sunday when chef Tim Love hosts a Top Chef-style faceoff with two Top Chef alumni.

Here's the week's top picks:

Wednesday

Tito’s Official Taster’s Launch Party

Tito's Texas Handmade Vodka Tasting owner/distiller Tito Beveridge will offer three cocktails that bring out the best in the vodka, paired with light appetizers such as mini Kobe tacos and sweet corn fritter with citrus aioli.

If you can't make that, Tito will appear at Tito’s Vodka Tasting & Bottle Signing, a free information session and tasting on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Sigel's Elite. To RSVP, contact Dimitrios Economu at 214-635-3162 or store04@sigels.com.

Thursday

LUPEC Scotch Tasting

Dalmore Scotch brings their master blender Richard Patterson to Dallas for a tasting.

Friday

Four Course Beer Dinner

Featuring 12 of the world’s finest brews, paired with beer-battered sole, braised short ribs of beef with cheddar cheese grits and roasted vegetables, vanilla bread pudding, chocolate stout ice cream, and Framboise chocolate cake.

Sunday

For The Love Of Lamb Cook-Off

Tim Love hosts a "Top Chef cookoff" at his new Love Shack So7, starring Ilan Hall and Richard Blais from Top Chef and six local Fort Worth and Dallas chefs, including Blaine Staniford (Grace), Jason Boso (Twisted Root), Jon Bonnell (Bonnell's), Aaron Staudenmaier & TJ Lengnick (Abacus), Scott Freeman (The Porch), Scott Romano (Charlie Palmer at the Joule). Space is limited. RSVP to: loveshacklamb@baltzco.com.

Tuesday

Girl's Night Out: In Rome Cooking Class

Experience this ancient capital city and the Italian joy of life by exploring its foods, ending the evening with Tartufo, Rome's answer to death-by-chocolate. Make fresh pasta, stuff and shape homemade ravioli; roast peppers, pound veal scaloppini.
