Lawyers in Irving voting system case want big bucks for winning their case
Attorneys responsible for convincing a federal judge to order the City of Irving to change its voting system (from an at-large one to a single-member district one) are asking for almost $600K to cover the cost of their court battle.
The City of Irving is appealing the court-mandated voting system change, but say they'll work with the plaintiff in the case in the meantime.
