Texas Rangers 5, Oakland Athletics 2
ARLINGTON The Texas Rangers completed a doubleheader sweep of the Oakland A's Friday evening, winning 5-2 at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. The win left Texas at 29-19 on the season.
Rangers starter Scott Feldman continued Texas' amazing run of starting pitching success, giving up just two runs on five hits over six innings. Feldman, who walked three and struck out two, improved to 4-0 with a 3.91 ERA. C.J. Wilson pitched a scoreless ninth for his fourth save on the year.
Most of the Rangers runs came in the bottom of the first, off RBI doubles by Josh Hamilton and Hank Blalock, and a two-run single from Taylor Teagarden that proved to be the eventual game-winner.
