Hey! Ho! Let’s Go! Join Assassination City Roller Derby in the second home bout of the season on Saturday, June 20th. This time, they're doing it Ramones-style! BYOB (no glass), bring your camping chair to be sure you get a good seat, and bring your need for speed, as the Deadly Kennedys (0-1) take on the Bombshell Brigade (0-0) in a bout that's sure to be anyone's game! Also, the Lone Star Assassins (1-0) will be going skate to skate with the visiting River Valley Roller Girls from Ft. Smith Arkansas.
The halftime performance by Ramones tribute band, Sedated, will have you chanting "Gabba Gabba Hey!", and DJ Sista Whitenoise will be spinning your Ramones faves. Come dressed as a Ramone to be entered into the costume contest! Prizes will be given out to the winner.
Also, bring in your old cell phones, small electronics (working or not) and empty ink cartridges as a donation for our Go Green fundraiser, and receive a raffle ticket for some great prizes! Proceeds will be used to help cover travel expenses of the Assassination City travel team.
And don't forget, the world famous Assassination City Roller Derby after party directly after the bout, only at Lee Harvey's, featuring a performance by Mr. Pink!
Tickets to the bout, which benefits CASA.org, can be purchased in advance for $12 at Plucker's on Greenville and Lovers, HD Tavern in Lewisville, Dad's Broadway Skateland in Mesquite, or at www.acderby.com, or you can get your tickets at the door for $15.
