An Olympic gold medalist in 2004, former gymnast Carly Patterson is now an aspiring singer. After the release date was pushed back, Patterson will be releasing her debut album, Back to the Beginning, later this summer through a Universal/Republic Records sub-label.
Recently the Allen, Texas songstress, who co-wrote the forthcoming CD with a couple local musicians, visited the Dallas North Bank Building to preview a few songs for businesses there. PegNews (a tenant) caught up with Patterson to talk about the album, transitioning from gymnastics to music, and more. Below the interview you'll also find three videos of her performances for "Chase," "To Get to Know Me," and her current single, "Time to Wake Up" which is available on iTunes and Amazon MP3.
