Dallas-based Dean Foods moving HQ from Uptown address to Cityplace a mere two miles away
DALLAS Dallas-based Dean Foods will move its corporate office to approximately 240,000 square feet of leased space in Cityplace in Dallas. Currently located at 2515 McKinney Avenue in the Uptown section of Dallas, Dean Foods plans to move its headquarters' location in the first quarter of 2010. Cityplace is located less than two miles north of downtown Dallas on the southeast corner of Haskell and Central Expressway.
"We are pleased to be able to relocate our offices within Dallas city limits. Many factors worked in our favor, including the real estate market, space availability and other economic elements," said Gregg Engles, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, Dean Foods. "The city of Dallas is our home, and we are pleased to remain here and continue our many civic and community partnerships."
Founded in 1993 in Dallas, the country's largest producer of milk and dairy products operated its corporate headquarters in various Dallas locations including Turtle Creek and Uptown. Since the company's inception, it has grown to 26,000 employees in over 100 locations across the country. Dean Foods' corporate headquarters now employs more than 450 employees.
The company's growth has exceeded its current workspace. As part of the company's strategic plan to invest for growth, it also needs a headquarters with the capacity to grow and change over time in response to the needs of the business.
