POM Wonderful settles lawsuit against Fort Worth-based Fresherized Foods
POM Wonderful and Fort Worth-based Fresherized Foods reached a settlement to the lawsuit filed by POM Wonderful against Fresherized Foods on Sept. 22, 2008.
The lawsuit was filed against Fresherized Foods for false advertising and unfair competition, and alleged that Fresherized Foods sold juice labeled 100 percent pomegranate juice that allegedly did not contain 100 percent pomegranate juice. Fresherized Foods exited the pomegranate juice business in 2008.
"We're pleased that we have been able to reach this agreement with Fresherized Foods," said Matt Tupper, president of POM Wonderful.
Fresherized Foods, based in Fort Worth, is the Global leader in High Pressure Processing technology, a producer of avocado-based products since 1989.
