Be afraid. Be very afraid.

— The Texas Rangers started off their ten-game homestand with a loss Monday night, losing 6-3 to the Toronto Blue Jays at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. The loss dropped Texas to 33-24 on the season.

Rangers starter Scott Feldman lost for the first time in nine starts this year, giving up four runs on seven hits over six innings. Feldman fell to 5-1 with a 4.01 ERA.

The Texas lineup had difficulty getting anything going all game against the Blue Jays pitching staff, collecting just nine hits --eight singles and a double. David Murphy was the only Ranger with an extra-base hit, going 2-for-4 with a run and a double. Marlon Byrd also went 2-for-4, but was caught stealing home in a crucial turn of events that ended a Texas rally in the bottom of the sixth.
