UPDATED: Fedora in Dallas’ Arts Plaza (briefly) shut down and reopened
A sign on the door from the landlord explains that the locks have been changed.
DALLAS Fedora, the swanky-loungey spot at Dallas' Arts Plaza opened by Gina Campisi, has been shut down.
A sign posted on the door states that the landlord has exercised the right to change the locks, due to a delinquency in paying the rent, with a number to call if the tenants want to resolve the situation. Which probably means that the restaurant has failed to pay its rent for at least a month or two. You don't just shut it down on a whim.
Was that Gina and partner Brittney O'Daniel having lunch at Jorge's nearby? Perhaps conducting a strategy session on how-to-pay-the-rent.
UPDATE: Here's a statement from the restaurant, issued on Thursday:
We are closed until Wednesday to repair damages. We will be re-opening Wed or Thurs. We will release a full press statement on Tuesday.

You are so quick with the news, TG. I bet you catch the next closing even before the restaurant has closed!

Sucks! they should have tried to do what Boardroom is doing... offering great specials, game day events..... I guess Gina was too busy being a socialite.

TG probably has a bunch of tipsters out there who give her the news because she actually appreciates it. I've sent news to her and some of the other blogs in town and TG is the only one who consistently shoots me a "thank you, you're the greatest".

What I wouldn't give for one of those chandeliers (not that I could fit it anywhere) and all the black and white prints I could carry.

Wowzers, that was fast! Didn't One Arts boot the owner of Screen Door not too long ago? They've got a pretty itchy trigger finger over there.

I think it's bigger than my car.
Props to the designers though, the interior was quite stunning. I was only there once for the grand opening party but arrived too late to taste any of the food. What was the general consensus? Was the food bad? Too pricey? Or is there a more scandalous reason for such a short run?
