The Planetarium at Richland College presents two free, family-friendly shows for the summer

On June 13, skywatchers will hear stories of stars and constellations at the Planetarium at Richland College and learn how to find them with “The Cowboy Astronomer.” On July 11, compare astronomy viewing using the naked eye versus binoculars versus telescopes of various sizes in "More Than Meets the Eye."

Both shows are at 8 p.m. in Room S116 of Sabine Hall. Before each star show, attendees can participate in a family-friendly activity that starts at 7:15 p.m.

The star shows are suitable for astronomers of all levels. A presentation of what stars, planets, and constellations are currently visible in the Dallas area nighttime sky will follow each show, as well as telescope viewing, weather permitting.
