Terrell Owens to still hold Duncanville football camp
While every Dallas sports journalist’s favorite target is now plying his trade with the Buffalo Bills, Terrell Owens will hold one last football camp for his young DFW fans.
The 4th Annual Annual Terrell Owens’ Youth Summer Football Mini-Camp will be June 24-25 at Duncanville High School.
“As many of you now know, I’m no longer a Dallas Cowboy and have recently signed with the Buffalo Bills,” Owens explains on his website. “However, because of my continued commitment to the youth of Dallas, I will as previously planned, host my 2009 Youth Summer Football Mini-Camp in Duncanville, TX. (I’m) giving my young fans the farewell from me they truly deserve.”
The camp is for aspiring “Baller Boyz” ages 7-17 and includes speed and coordination training, fitness and strength training as well as Q & A sessions with elite college and NFL players. Early registration, as you might imagine, is highly encouraged. The camp costs $195 per attendee but scholarships are available.
To compete for the scholarship, in no more than 500 words define what makes a champion. If you are not able to attach your essay during registration, all essays must be emailed to scholarships@tocamps.com. To register for the camp, visit’s T.O.’s website.
