Two Dallas ISD high schools top Newsweek‘s list of nation’s best high schools
Both schools made the top 5 last year, so their success comes as no surprise.
The School for the Talented and Gifted and the School of Science and Engineering at the Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Magnet Center have a lot to brag about this year, as they came in 1-2 in Newsweek's list of the nation's top high schools. The list is compiled by dividing the number of Advanced Placement International, Baccalaureate and/or Cambridge tests taken by all students at a school by the number of graduating seniors.
Both schools made the top 5 last year, so their success comes as no surprise. Thirty other North Texas high schools made the top 1,500, including five more in the top 100.
