Fly aboard a B-24 out of Addison this Fathers Day weekend
From the folks at the Commemorative Air Force (Addison-based B-29/B-24 Squadron) comes word that they'll be flying Ol' 927 (the B-24 Liberator on which yours truly was privileged to hitch a ride a few weeks back) this Father's Day weekend.
Here's your chance to hop aboard for a half-hour flight on on a real WWII warbird* - one of only two B-24s still airworthy today.
You can book your 30 minutes of glory (at a tax-deductible cost of $450) by navigating your Norden bombsight here. Squadron Tour Director Toni Schmid Stevenson will take good care of you.
All flights originate from Addison's Cavanaugh Flight Museum, which is well worth a visit in its own right.
*In case someone takes me to task for that "warbird" designator, this specific Liberator never saw battle action, but was used as a transport and airframe test bed during the war years.

This is a great idea and would be fun for all the Father's out there. That is one big noisy airplane! Used to hear them flying over Addison all the time.

As long as i'm able to perform a enola gay- style bombing run on the right wing park cities and self-righteous west village, I'll pay the money ;)
