Free rent contest in Wylie rewards entrepreneurs
WYLIE The First Wylie Center could become a second home for people looking to start a new business or expand an already-existing entity. Tommy Z. Hoffman, former Plano resident and owner of the First Wylie Center, has partnered with Chad Engbrock at C&S Media in a competition that will reward a forward-thinking entrepreneur with a year of free rent in the First Wylie Retail Center on Hwy. 78. The deadline to submit a complete business plan and proposal is July 9.
“This could be a way to help local small businesses that might be struggling or want to start up a new venture,” Hoffman said. “In addition, the new businesses could help revitalize the center, which would be great for Wylie in terms of increased tax revenues.”
