Live music events in Dallas-Fort Worth June 12-14

Bluesfest on Saturday benefits the Blue Shoe Project while entertaining and educating.

Friday

Get a full dosing of local metal poisoning at the Skillman Street Pub. Featuring Neverset and House Harkonnen, it's a good excuse to get the neck brace out of storage.

OR, slow it down a skosh with a some Jazz and hip-hop when the Inner City All-Stars, Pikahsso, and the Effinays take over The Door (Dallas).

You can always trek down to the Dallas CityArts Fest, which features music, food and family activities all for free. The event continues through Sunday.

Saturday

Big day for music in the area, including the Blue Shoe Bluesfest at The Village in Colleyville (free) and the Bath House Music Fest (not as free).

Rascal Flatts and Darius Rucker bring country to Superpages.com Center. Yes, Hootie went country.

Then, of course, out in Grand Prairie, Keyshia Cole brings The Dream, Keri Hilson and Bobby V with her to the Nokia Theatre.

Sunday

Yanni. Why not? What a great story that would make. "Dude, you won't believe the concert I got hammered at. Yanni. Nokia. I know. I'm so wacky, aren't I? Watch me break this beer bottle on my head."
