New yogurt chain, Frusen Gladje, oh I mean, Yogen Fruz, coming to Dallas

0

Yogen Früz, the world's leading frozen yogurt conglomerate, scoops deep into the heart of Texas with the arrival of its first ever Texas location at 11661 Preston Road in Dallas' Preston Forest Village opening the week of June 22.

Yogen Früz will continue its expansion to the Lone Star State with stores scheduled to open in Garland at the Fire Wheel Town Center, an outdoor lifestyle mall, and a downtown Dallas store to be housed at the 523-foot Mercantile Tower constructed in 1942 as home of the Mercantile National Bank.

"Texas has a great climate for business and frozen yogurt," says Aaron Serruya, co-founder of Yogen Früz. "Over the last four years, natural yogurts have been the fastest-growing food category in U.S. grocery stores because American consumers have been looking for a healthier alternative to fast food restaurants."

Available in low-fat vanilla, low-fat chocolate, non-fat vanilla and non-fat no sugar added vanilla, Yogen Früz's healthy frozen yogurt contains probiotic cultures and 0% fat, which can be blended with a large selection of fresh fruits to satisfy any palate. With a splash of berry, burst of melon and the new Matcha Green Tea + lychee flavor, Yogen Früz can be custom blended into a cup and topped with fruit and sweet crunchy treats or blended into a nutritious fat-free, ice-free dairy or non-dairy smoothie. (Oh. They only have three flavors... and the rest are flavored with "a splash of berry"... yuck.) Yogen Früz's active ingredients, probiotic cultures, are an excellent source of blah blah blah not gonna put all of the press release here cuz it's too snoozy.

Yogen Früz's development agreement with YF Systems of Texas, LLC, will bring 30 locations to Texas, with six to ten stores opening across the state in the coming months. Additional stores are currently being planned for El Paso, Houston, Austin and San Antonio, according to Jon Lindenbaum, a principal of YF Systems of Texas, LLC, the exclusive master franchisee for Yogen Fruz in Texas.

You know, they've been saying they're going to move into Texas for nearly a year.
