When you're looking for information regarding one of Dallas' most beloved choral, symphonic rock outfits, one tends to venture to the ends of the earth, scouring every nook and cranny to find any little tidbit of information... Or you go to the Billiard Bar on a Sunday for $2 U-Call-Its after the Girl in a Coma show at the Alt space at the House of Blues...
It seems as though there's serious discussion amongst members of Dallas' own Polyphonic Spree that a new album is in the works. A source who wished not to be identified (The specific request was… "Oh shit dude, you can't use my name. Please don't use my name!") told My Denton Music after our 3rd pitcher of brewski, the Polyphonic Spree are going to be going into the studio this summer to record their 4th studio album. "We're all talking about it and it looks like it's going to happen," said Mr. Anonymous Musical Contributor.
This is a legit rumor, and if I wasn't the dedicated journalist with my high level of moral fiber (who knew?) I'd give you a name. But safe to say, sometime this fall or winter, we'll have another symphonic extravaganza on our hands! Here's hoping!
