Second branch of Cafe Istanbul opened at the Shops at Legacy in Plano
It's actually been a couple of months now that a second branch of Cafe Istanbul opened up at the Shops at Legacy in Plano.
The original branch in Dallas has developed a following over the years for its Turkish food -- grape leaves, hummus, kebabs -- and especially for its belly dancers.
No belly dancers at the Plano branch, says a spokeswoman there.
"We're going for a different atmosphere," she says. "We have a bigger space, and the decoration is totally different – simpler. The menu is the same, the food is the same. We use fresh ingredients, and the meat is char-broiled -- no gas, it’s so healthy."
