Chris Parvin wins Cedar Hill City Council runoff
With Greg Patton opting not to run again in Place 4, it figured to be a very exciting race. The Cedar Hill Place 4 council election didn’t disappoint in that regard, even needing an extra month to decide things.
When all the dust finally settled, Chris Parvin emerged as the winner by a margin of 468-410. Mike Holley was a newcomer to the political process but definitely had an impressive first campaign. Holley could be a player on the Cedar Hill political scene for some time to come if he’s still interested in that route.

I am pleased to see Chris Parvin win. Mike Holley used all the resources Hillcrest Baptist Church could muster to try to sway this election and it appears not to have worked. There are many very good reasons why we here in America have seperation of church and state. It is a shame that the Hillcrest Pastor and members of his flock did not stop to think about them. Hopefully this will be their last foray into the local political scene but i highly doubt it. At least they failed in this attempt.
