Woman who ran out in traffic and was killed in Lewisville was from North Richland Hills
Her name was Desiree Bettinger and police still don't know what the problem was.
Last Wednesday, a police officer had to swerve to avoid a woman was standing on the service road next to I-35 in Lewisville. He stopped and tried to talk to her, but then she ran out onto I-35 and was killed by a tractor-trailer near Valley Ridge Road. She's since been identified as Desiree Bettinger from North Richland Hills and the police are trying to figure out what the problem was.
