To describe a Spoonfed Tribe gathering would take too many words, talking too small to measure what is gained by the actual experience of it all. So, to do our best, imagine a show that captures all senses, presents all musical styles, glows with a fluorescent fury, and creates space to be different and unique, all while making you dance like an idiot! Based in North Texas, the Tribe has toured from California to Florida to NYC to Colorado. As this musical spiral expands and reaches more people, the potential is unlimited.
Touring w/ Lollapalooza and then playing Joshua Tree, High Sierra, and FireLake Music Festivals has solidified the Tribe in multiple genres. With four independent releases available for mass consumption and already a staple on college radio around the country, the Spoonfed Tribe movement is growing quickly. Five members comprise the musical core of Spoonfed Tribe. They all bring to the table a unique style of musical expression blending; tribal, funk, jazz, psychedelic, dance, rock, hip-hop, and reggae grooves into a thick audio visual experience.
From the Spoonfed Tribe website:
"The show on Saturday the 20th at The Boiler Room will be huge! Get there early! Spoonfed Tribe will be joined by the incredible prog-rock band Consider the Source (listen to the track "Tihai for the Straight Guy" on their MySpace page ... whoa!) and local badasses Bronze Whaler and Harry Has a Head Like a Ping Pong Ball."
