Free city transportation abounds — for 25 years! — for UNT student
DENTON A 20-year-old University of North Texas won a text-message contest and was awarded free rides on the Trinity Railway Express for 25 years. At 20 years old, Karl Kreusel will be riding those tracks until he's more than twice his age. The golden ticket includes rides on the T and DART lines, including light rails and buses.
The win kicked off Dump the Pump day Thursday (June 18), and offers the Denton student what state Rep. Vicki Truitt of Keller calls "a ride into the future."
But Kreusel's response, as he tells it to the Fort Worth Star Telegram, is even better: "I haven’t been able to think of anything I’m going to do when I’m 45, but I know I’ll have a bus pass," he says.
